Responsibilities:
Evaluate test/performance results and interpret data to ensure compliance with medical physics standards.
Measure, report, and maintain equipment performance records as required by statute, ensuring regular documentation and record-keeping.
Conduct regular quality assurance tests on diagnostic imaging equipment to maintain accuracy and safety standards.
Provide expert consultation and assistance in radiation safety matters, including developing and implementing radiation safety protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize the use of imaging and therapeutic equipment in patient care.
Participate in the design and implementation of new radiological procedures or equipment, contributing to innovation and efficiency improvements.
Mentor early career medical physicists and other healthcare staff, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in the field.
Engage in leadership development of technological staff to align skill sets, abilities, and education with company strategies.
Continually implement strategies to improve the (service) product in terms of efficiency, consistency, and quality of our work.
Client point of contact as a liaison to the company and the NYC ORH, NJDEP, ACR and other regulatory and accrediting organizations.
Stay updated with the latest developments in medical physics and related regulations, ensuring the practice remains compliant and at the forefront of the field.
Assist in preparing for and maintaining accreditation from relevant bodies, ensuring all standards and requirements are consistently met.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with radiological equipment, minimizing downtime and maintaining high levels of clinical service.
Training and mentoring will be provided in less familiar areas.
