Northwest Medical Physics Center (NMPC) is increasing radiation oncology physicist staffing for our clinic in Sequim, WA. Sequim is in the rain shadowed portion of the Olympic Peninsula making it the sunniest location in Western Washington. Minutes away from the Olympic National Park, Olympic Discovery Trail, Olympic National Forest, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Buckhorn Wilderness, and a ferry ride away from Victoria Canada; Sequim has a vast variety of outdoor activities to offer. The clinic serves all of the North and West Peninsula (approximately 80,000 residents). The clinic operates two Varian Truebeams and a GE Lightspeed CT, which treat 25 to 40 patients a day. The treatment planning system utilized for patient planning is Raystation and is paired with ARIA EMR. A robust external beam SRS/SBRT program is in place treating as many as 15 plans a week. SRS delivery consists of both Varian SRS Cones and MLC based VMAT. Varian IDENTIFY is used for SGRT monitoring of DIBH Lt/Rt breast and SBRT/SRS patients. Varian RGSC is utilized for 4D simulations and gated SBRT treatment delivery. A Microstar ii is utilized for nanodot OSLD readings for verification of complicated electron treatments and is paired with an Aerowolf 3D printer to create complex boluses for difficult treatment locations. The staff consists of two radiation oncologists, two medical dosimetrists, six therapists, and one medical physicist.
