Post-doctoral Fellow (X-ray induced acoustic dosimetry)
We are developing a novel contrast agent for X-Ray Induced Acoustic Computed Tomography (XACT) dosimetry, with the aim of providing real time in-vivo 3D calibrated radiation dose measurements for adaptive radiation therapy treatments. The successful postdoctoral candidate will perform simulations and experiments to measure contrast enhanced X-Ray Induced Acoustic signals that are generated during radiation therapy treatments; perform computer simulations of X-Ray Induced signals; perform data acquisition for XACT dosimetry; develop novel contrast agents for XACT dosimetry. This project involves a mix of experimental data collection, computational data analysis and computer simulations. While this position is primarily R&D, the successful candidate will gain clinical radiotherapy
