The Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Florida College of Medicine has an immediate opening for an academically oriented Medical Physicist at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, Jacksonville, FL. UFHPTI is an academic, nonprofit, radiation oncology center located in downtown Jacksonville. Since opening in 2006, UFHPTI has delivered proton therapy to over 10,000 patients from Florida, the U.S., and 33 countries, including nearly 2,000 pediatric patients. As part of the University of Florida Health Cancer Center, UFHPTI is designated by the State of Florida as a Florida Cancer Center of Excellence. The Institute was also one of the first proton facilities in the nation to earn the American College of Radiology (ACR) seal of accreditation.
