Qualifications:

• Career Level: Seeking medical physicists experienced in Diagnostic Medical Physics. Nuclear Medical Physics is a plus.
• Education: MS, DMP, or PhD in medical physics, with residency training if applicable.
• Certification: ABR certification in Diagnostic Medical Physics (applicants who have passed Part II may apply).
• Experience: Diagnostic medical physics experience is essential; experience in nuclear medicine and radiation safety is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Perform quality assurance testing and evaluations for diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Analyze test results for compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Maintain performance records and provide guidance on radiation safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize imaging techniques and patient care.
• Mentor and train junior physicists, technical associates, and healthcare staff.
• Stay current with industry standards, compliance requirements, and dose optimization best practices.
