Qualifications:
Career Level: Seeking medical physicists experienced in Diagnostic Medical Physics. Nuclear Medical Physics is a plus.
Education: MS, DMP, or PhD in medical physics, with residency training if applicable.
Certification: ABR certification in Diagnostic Medical Physics (applicants who have passed Part II may apply).
Experience: Diagnostic medical physics experience is essential; experience in nuclear medicine and radiation safety is desirable.
Responsibilities:
Perform quality assurance testing and evaluations for diagnostic imaging equipment.
Analyze test results for compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Maintain performance records and provide guidance on radiation safety.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize imaging techniques and patient care.
Mentor and train junior physicists, technical associates, and healthcare staff.
Stay current with industry standards, compliance requirements, and dose optimization best practices.
