The CAMPEP Accredited Imaging Physics Residency Program at Medical College of Wisconsin has a position opening 7/1/2025. The program in the Radiology Department is a clinical training program designed to provide a two-years of progressive supervised clinical training. The goal of the residency program is to train imaging physicists to be competent to practice independently in clinical diagnostic imaging physics. The program provides clinical training to prepare graduates for the certification examination of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and a professional career in diagnostic radiological physics. Throughout the program, the resident is expected to participate in routine clinical imaging physics activities, and work closely with faculty physicists, clinical engineers, and technologists.

The Department of Radiology has more than 100 MD radiologists, 15 PhD scientists/physicists, and 53 residents/fellows. The Section of Medical Physics in Radiology Department includes 4 ABR/ABMP board certified Ph.D. diagnostic imaging physicist faculty, 1 medical physics coordinator, 2 imaging physics residents, 1 education program coordinator, other administrative supporting staff, and provides imaging physics services for more than 155 radiography/fluoroscopy units, 22 interventional procedure labs, 22 MRI (1 interventional MRI), 23 CT (1 interventional CT), 28 Digital 2D mammography/DBT, 220 Ultrasound, 15 Nuclear medicine camera/SPECT, and 2 PET/CT (1 GE, 1 Siemens).
