Baystate Medical Center is looking for a full time SeniorMedical Physicist to join their growing, modern ACRO Accredited Radiation Oncology department in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The candidate will join a dedicated team of 3 other physicists, 5 radiation oncologists, 4 dosimetrists and 19 therapists to provide the best and safest delivery of all offered radiation modalities in a single center with approximately 100 patients on 4 linear accelerators and a dedicated HDR suite.
Responsibilities include partnering with the physics and clinical team to support and perform QA on all equipment and modalities at a state of the art all Elekta center.
HDR (Gyn and custom designed 3D printed skin applicators)
In addition, the physicist will participate in radiosurgery and HDR treatment planning including on-site 3D printed bolus and surface brachytherapy. Physicists will perform planning and checks using Monaco, MIM, Oncentra and Mosaiq. Physicists will attend radiosurgery and HDR procedures at the machines to provide physics guidance regarding IGRT, motion management, surface guidance and to ensure safe workflow.
Physics staff will attend department clinical QA meetings and participate in weekly chart QA and end of treatment physics checks. They will participate in routine re-accreditation and re-credentialing as required and take the initiative to present and discuss innovations and knowledge into the clinical decision process. The candidate should pursue quality improvement projects to support clinical, software and machine quality maintenance initiatives.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education: Master of Science in Medical Physics or related field
Minimum Experience: Completed residency in Radiation Oncology Physics
Preferred Experience: 3 or more years in Radiation Oncology Physics
Required Certification: Board Eligible
Preferred Certification: Certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist (ABR, ABMP, CCPM)
