Multiple Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions are available at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Division of Medical Physics and Biophysics, Department of Radiation Oncology. The successful applicant will work on industry-funded projects to develop and translate novel imaging technologies and techniques into clinical treatment scenarios. Fellows will also be afforded the opportunity to participate in clinical training and the department’s CAMPEP-approved certificate program. A Research Fellow appointment at the Harvard Medical School will be sought for the successful candidates.
Candidates from broad backgrounds are invited to apply, with PhD (or equivalent degree) in physics, astronomy, computer science, medical physics, imaging science, engineering, or related fields given preference. Highly developed communication skills - including, but not limited to written and oral delivery of scientific information and the ability to work well within a team structure - and considerable programming experience are necessary. Experience with imaging physics and processing techniques, image reconstruction, and familiarity with Monte Carlo simulations are highly valued. The successful candidates will be self-motivated and able to perform research independently.
