Tech62 is seeking a radiation oncology physicist with CyberKnife expertise to join our team in Dallas, TX. This is an on-site fulltime position.
This position represents an excellent opportunity to join our growing team of medical physicists and radiation oncology professionals at Tech62. Tech62 focuses on taking care of our Veterans. We hold more than 35 medical physics contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) across the country. The position in Dallas is at the VA Medical Center in which there is one CyberKnife, two Varian TrueBeam systems, ARIA R&V, and Eclipse TPS. Brachytherapy is NOT performed at this facility. There is already one physicist there, two dosimetrists, six therapists, and two oncologists. The total patient census is less than 20 so the workload is not at all overwhelming.
Successful applicants will show an interest in contributing their knowledge and expertise to the radiation oncology department at the North Texas VA Medical Center in Dallas, TX. This is an opportunity to grow your skills in direct patient care, teamwork, leadership, and radiation oncology physics.
This position requires board-certification in therapeutic medical physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Must be legally authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. Minimum education requirements include a Masters degree [doctorate preferred] in medical physics or a relevant field and active, up-to-date CEU credits.
Significant knowledge and experience in leading the CyberKnife physics program is essential. Desired qualifications also include at least 3 years of experience as a therapeutic medical physicist with 2 years of experience in a Varian-based clinic. The physicist should have the capability in most of the following treatment modalities: TBI, TSE, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, IGRT, SGRT, 3-D Conformal. The physicist needs to have experience in QA for a CT simulator and very good knowledge of the Eclipse TPS.
Salary and benefits are negotiable based on the candidate’s expertise, as well as the employment format as a W-2 staff member with benefits or as a 1099 physicist without benefits.
