Therapeutic Medical Physicist
The START Cancer Center has an immediate opening for a board certified radiotherapy physicist. The position reports directly to the director of medical physics and will join a team of two physicists and four dosimetrists. The physicist will provide standard medical physics services including machine calibrations, quality assurance on equipment as well as patient treatments, radiation safety, and review of treatment planning. The physicist will also assist in implementing new technologies as necessary. The START Cancer Center has four radiation oncology facilities with Varian linear accelerators treating 80-100 patients a day. All facilities will have a Varian dual energy linear accelerator with capabilities to perform IMRT and IGRT in addition to conventional radiation. Radiosurg
