Ohio Medical Physics Consulting (OMPC) is seeking a full time Therapy Medical Physicist based in Columbus, OH to join our growing team in Ohio. Clinic Information:

• This position is based at Adena Cancer Center in Chillicothe, OH
• This role is supported by 1 other Physicist, 2 Dosimetrists and 2 Radiation Oncologists
• The facility is equipped with 2 Varian linear accelerators
• Eclipse and Aria are used as the treatment planning systems
• The facility has an active HDR and SBRT program.

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Maintain standards and regulation requirements
• Perform quality assurance and testing on Eclipse, Aria, and Varian Linear Accelerators
• Adhere to client and company policies and procedures 
• Consult with radiation oncologists and staff 
• Perform routine physics services

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledgeable in state and professional regulations
• Willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues
• A desire to demonstrate initiative and ownership of daily tasks and projects
• Capable of paying strict attention to detail, thorough, and well-organized
• Comfortable dealing with a variety of situations and different personalities
• Ability to actively problem-solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions

Education and Experience Requirements:

• ABR Certified Medical Physicist or Board Eligible
• MS or PhD in Medical Physics
• 4+ years clinical therapy physics experience
• Valid State Registration/Approval (Ohio)
• Valid Driver’s License
