The base pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Pay Range: $208,021- $295,006.

The Department of Radiation Oncology in Cedars-Sinai Cancer is recruiting Radiation Oncology Physicists for faculty positions at both main campus and affiliate programs. These positions present an exciting opportunity to join the growing and dynamic Radiation Oncology Physics group in the Cedars-Sinai Health System.
Cedars-Sinai is a nationally recognized leader in comprehensive clinical cancer care, research, and post-graduate resident medical education programs with Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics residency programs. The overall department currently includes six linear accelerators; extensive use of VMAT, SBRT, SRS, and IGRT; two Bravos HDR afterloaders; multiple superficial units, 4D CT-simulators, and real-time motion management systems; with extensive treatment planning and oncology information systems resources. Over 3,000 new patients are treated each year at Cedars-Sinai Radiation Oncology.
Successful applicants must have an interest in contributing to the department’s growing academic and research efforts as well as its high-quality clinical program and Medical Physics and Radiation Oncology Residency programs. This is an opportunity to join a team of physicists whose responsibilities include: education for residents and students, clinical radiation oncology physics and quality assurance, participation in expanding academic and translational research efforts including novel clinical trials and implementation of advanced clinical treatment techniques. The physics group provides extensive opportunities for peer review, AAPM continuing education, interdisciplinary lectures, and direct collegial support.
The positions require certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM) in Radiation Oncology Physics, and a PhD or MS in Medical Physics, Physics, Engineering or related field. You must have analytical and problem-solving skills, and clinical training and experience in a variety of radiation oncology techniques. Research background and experience will be beneficial.
