About the Role
RPA Consultant Responsibilities
Manage multiple client relationships
Respond to diverse and complex client questions accurately and effectively
Assist clients in designing and implementing standards for their imaging and radiation safety programs
Interpret state regulations and TJC, ACR and/or other accrediting body criteria, and any system-relevant practice standards to support clients in maintaining compliance
Conduct and communicate quality assurance testing of diagnostic imaging equipment and systems in all modalities
Participate in client Radiation Safety Committee meetings
Qualified candidates will demonstrate:
Board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic or Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in diagnostic imaging physics
MRSE certification by the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety, or eligibility for certification
Ability to lead or develop into a leadership role for the RPA MRI program
Ability to interpret state regulations and TJC, ACR and other accrediting body criteria, processes and compliance
Experience conducting quality assurance testing of diagnostic imaging equipment and systems
Experience supporting mammography, MRI, fluoroscopy, radiography, CT, US and nuclear medicine accreditation programs
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PDF programs like Adobe or Foxit

Preferred candidates will demonstrate experience:
Conducting safety surveys of nuclear medicine operations, regulatory interpretation and license support
Delivering Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) support services
Performing shielding design, evaluating shielding integrity and performing shielding assessment for CT, radiographic and fluoroscopy rooms and surrounding areas
Demonstrated ability to learn new computer applications and programs to track and manage client data
Physical requirements of the role include:
Ability and vehicle to drive between client facilities
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, including lead aprons and testing equipment
Ability to load and unload equipment from a vehicle and transport into/around client facility
Ability to move mobile diagnostic medical equipment within a client facility
