Provide technical direction and services in the department of Radiation Therapy, determine dosimetry characteristics for various types of radiation, oversees and provides for treatment planning system, treatment plans and isodose verification. Masters Degree in Medical Physics plus 2 years experience in Radiation Therapy and working toward completing board certification.
Education/Experience:
Masters Degree in Medical Physics. One year minimum clinical experience; two to five years desired. Certification by the American Board of Radiology or American College of Medical Physics (on-call Medical Physicist need not obtain Certification – will work under direction of certified Medical Physicist).

Position: We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Medical Physics team at Frauenshuh Cancer Center which will consist of 3 Medical Physicists, a Medical Physics assistant, 3 Dosimetrists, 3 Radiation Oncologists, and a compassionate treatment/support staff. The qualified individual will have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Medical Physics and ABR certification (or working toward it). Support for continuing education is provided. There is opportunity for hybrid remote work if interested.
Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital: At Park Nicollet, Radiation Therapy is an integral part of the comprehensive Frauenshuh Cancer Center located inside Methodist Hospital. The Radiation Therapy Department treats 60-80 patients per day on 3 Varian linacs (two TrueBeams and one 21iX) as well as GammaMed HDR for GYN. We have an active SRS/SBRT program and utilize current versions of Pinnacle, Eclipse with HyperArc, ARIA, and MIM software, among others.
