Baptist Health Paducah is offering a full-time position for a medical physicist to join a progressive department with state of the art radiotherapy technology. The radiation therapy department is committed to the highest standards of patient care and maintains ACR and CoC accreditations. Primary duties include designing treatment plans for the stereotactic and HDR programs, performing patient specific QA and weekly chart reviews. Additional duties will involve performing routine calibrations on two Varian linear accelerators and a Philips CT simulator as well as assisting with evaluation of beam data and commissioning of new equipment. Qualifications include holding a MS or PhD degree in therapeutic medical physics and being ABR certified or board eligible. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to organize multiple tasks and enjoy working with a variety of professionals with exceptional team spirit. A longer-term opportunity to advance to the chief medical physicist position also exists with this position.
