Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is seeking a Therapeutic Medical Physicist to join our growing radiation oncology program. This is a staff position created for our main campus facility in the heart of Houston. The candidate will join a team of 4 other physicists (1 chief, 3 staff), 4 dosimetrists, and 3 radiation oncologists, supporting 2 sites overall. A third site is planned for the near future. Requirements:
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include all aspects of contemporary radiation oncology physics pertaining to 3D/4D, IMRT, SBRT, SRS/SRT, and SGRT treatment modalities. This includes recurring quality assurance, clinical duties, and acceptance testing and commissioning of new systems (predominately software, and upgrades). Treatment planning expertise with SRS is not required but preferred. No brachytherapy is currently offered (however expansion at another future clinic, is a possibility). Kelsey-Seybold provides state-of-the-art equipment and integration via Citrix in an all-Varian environment (Truebeam, Edge, Eclipse, Velocity, Dose Lab, Portal Dosimetry) with a full inventory of advanced QA systems (Radformation, Sun Nuclear, IBA) and OEM support contracts. This position will work one day per week from home.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have an MS or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a closely related field, graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency, board certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics (or equivalent), and a minimum of three to five years of current full-time experience. The position requires licensure in the state of Texas.
