Texas Oncology is seeking a full-time, team oriented Certified Medical Physicist to join our regional group of 2 radiation oncology centers located in the Dallas metroplex. This position will primarily be based at the Texas Oncology Methodist Charlton Cancer Center practice site located in South Dallas. The successful candidate should have a current ABR certification, be eligible for a Texas state license in medical physics, and have more than two years’ working experience in a clinical environment.

Facilities and Equipment:
The Texas Oncology Methodist Charlton Cancer Center location is a busy practice that, together with its sister site Methodist Dallas located 20 minutes away in downtown Dallas, provides a full range of radiation therapy procedures, including SRS, SBRT, HDR, and LDR (prostate seed implants). Equipment in use at the Methodist Charlton site includes a Varian TrueBeam, GE CT Scanner and the Methodist Dallas site includes an Elekta Infinity with Agility head and hexa-pod table, GE CT, and a Nucletron microSelectron HDR after-loader. The two sites share a MOSAIQ ROIS, Eclipse TPS, MiM Symphony LDR, MIM fusion software, Sun Nuclear SunCHECK QA, and a host of Sun Nuclear QA devices. The current team includes 2 Radiation Oncologists, 1 ABR Certified physicist, 2 Certified Medical Dosimetrists, 6 Radiation Therapists and 1 Chief Therapist.
The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Master’s degree in Medical physics from an accredited college or university
Board certification or board eligibility in therapy physics by the ABR
Eligible for a Texas Medical Physics license
2+ years of experience
A working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR
Strong organization and oral / written communication skills
Preferred Experience:
Working knowledge of Varian and Elekta linear accelerators
Working knowledge of Nucletron micoSelectron HDR afterloader
Working knowledge of Eclipse TPS
A working knowledge of MOSAIQ Record and Verify system
Working knowledge of Radiation safety
Duties will include:
Full range of on-site clinical medical physics support
Occasional on-site or remote physics support for sites within the region
