Associates in Radiation Medicine is seeking a highly motivated full time medical physicist to join our ACR-accredited radiation oncology team. The physicist will provide medical physics services at the main campus in Salisbury, MD, as well as Ocean Pines, MD and an additional satellite located in Seaford, Delaware.

We have a strong philosophy that all facilities will provide outstanding treatment quality that is consistent across the all sites as well as contributing to the overall mission of the center to advance the state of cancer care. Our focus is on external beam with 3 TrueBeams and a fourth pending. Typical treatments include 3DCRT, IGRT, VMAT and SBRT. We utilize ARIA for record and verify and Eclipse V16.0 for treatment planning along with HyperArc for SRS/SRT. We utilize portal dosimetry along with SunNuclear for patient QA. Additionally we have Velocity for image fusion/image deformation, ClearCheck for dose constraint coverage and analysis coupled with ClearCalc/RadCalc for secondary monitor unit calculations. Planning Images are acquired by 2 Phillips Big Bore and 1 GE Advantage CT simulators all located within each department and processed by Limbus Artificial Intelligence Contouring for creating normal structures. We also have an active HDR program. The ideal candidate must have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with the staff in a dynamic working environment. The physicist will be joining a team of three dosimetrists and two physicists.

Candidates must hold a master’s degree in physics or applied physics from an approved institution, preference will be given to those who have graduated a CAMPEP approved residency program (Other physical science or engineering degrees may be considered if the appropriate fundamental physics courses have been completed) Proficient written and verbal skill are an essential requirement for communication among physician and hospital staff. The candidate must also meet the requirements for state licensure as a qualified medical physicist, be board certified or board eligible by either American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Board of Medical Physicists (ABMP).

Salisbury MD, Ocean Pines, MD, and Seaford DE are located on the Delmarva Peninsula with beautiful beaches and just a short drive to relax and see the wild horses at Assateague National Park. The area also features affordable housing and excellent school systems. Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. are within a two-hour drive, so you can benefit from the relaxing pace of the Eastern Shore and still easily visit the city any time.
