University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Medical Physicist to join the Cancer Center in Maple Grove, Minnesota. A rapidly growing community, Maple Grove is the 8th largest city in Minnesota and is located just 20 minutes from Minneapolis. Work in a collaborative team setting supporting our community clinical practice.
Practice Details:
- The Maple Grove and Wyoming Radiation Oncology Clinics have a single TruBeam linear accelerator in addition to Philips and Siemens CT simulators, Mosaiq record and verify system, and Philips Pinnacle treatment planning system. A wide array of QA equipment is also available.
- Provide back-up physics coverage at our Wyoming, Minnesota clinic, as needed.
- These two clinics work as a cohesive team and consist of three radiation oncologists, two physicists, and three dosimetrists.
- Support is provided by the University of Minnesota Department of Radiation Oncology's physics/dosimetry group which includes 5 PhD and 2 MS level physicists, 2 physics residents, and 6 dosimetrists.
- Physicists are responsible for proper operation of equipment, participating in treatment planning, and working with other members of the care team.
Qualifications:
- MS or PhD in Medical Physics; ABR board certified (or equivalent) in Therapeutic Medical Physics
- Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
