Essentia Health is recruiting for a clinical medical physicist that would work at the Northwest Wisconsin Cancer Center in Ashland, Wisconsin. The individual filling this position will be an integral member of an experienced team (Radiation Oncologist, Therapists, Nurse, Dosimetrist, Manager) running a state-of-the-art radiation therapy program in a comprehensive cancer center.

The primary medical physics duties will be provided at the Cancer Center in Ashland, with opportunities to provide support to other Essentia Health Radiation Oncology departments.

The primary job responsibilities will be clinical support of staff, clinical consultation, performing/overseeing departmental quality assurance and quality control tests, data management, equipment specification and compliance of state and federal requirements.

The successful candidate will join a collegial team of five medical physicists, providing professional services for Essentia Health radiation oncology services. The Northwest Wisconsin Cancer Center includes one Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator (3 photon energies, one FFF, 5 electron energies, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT), Pinnacle and Eclipse treatment planning, Aria R&V, Siemens wide bore CT Simulator, MIM, Mobius3D and SNC products for routine quality assurance.

Qualifications for the position included but are not limited to:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible  in Therapeutic Medical Physics
• Proven clinical experience
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate effectively with the cancer center team
• Ability to integrate with the medical physics department staff
• Strong understanding of data flow in the Radiation Oncology setting
