Baptist Health Louisville is seeking candidates for the position of Medical Radiation Physicist at our Louisville, Kentucky location.  This key position will help to plan the course of treatment for the cancer patient under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist with a high focus on safety and quality.   This position has physics oversight to ensure proper, accurate, and safe function of all treatment units and simulator.  Works closely with the department manager to develop and carry out a quality assurance program specific to the needs of the department in order to be in compliance with state and nationally mandated standards.  

MS in therapeutic medical physics or medical radiation physics

Candidates must be either Board Certified or eligible for certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).

If Board eligible, candidates will be required to obtain certification within six calendar years per the ABR’s standards. Preferably, certification will be obtained within one to three years.

Minimum 3-5 years clinical experience.
