SUMMARY: The Physicist oversees the radiation therapy equipment and acceptance. The Physicist consults with the Radiation Oncologist concerning patient dose, along with radiation exposure and safety. The Physicist oversees the radiation quality assurance programs and development. The general work hours are M-F, Days.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate degree and successful completion of part one of ABR certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics required.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS: 

• Board eligibility for ABR preferred.
• Completion of ABR certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics in six full calendar years from completion of residency training or six full calendar years from Part 2 of ABR certification approval, whichever comes first, required.
