The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to work on an NIH-funded project to develop advanced machine learning algorithms in medical physics. This position requires a Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related areas. We are in particular looking for candidates with background in machine learning, medical imaging and optimization methods, good programming skills using languages such as python, Matlab, C++ or C#, strong communication skills and excellent scientific writing ability, and the ability to work under interdisciplinary settings.
