The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Kansas Health System (UKHS), and the University of Kansas Cancer Center (KUCC) is seeking an experienced medical
physicist with strong clinical skills to join a dynamic clinical, research and teaching-oriented department at the region’s only NCI designated cancer center. The Director of Clinical Physics will lead the clinical medical physics and dosimetry program and report to the Vice  Chair/Chief of Medical Physics. Prior experience in employee supervision is preferred. The responsibilities will include providing clinical radiation therapy services for state-of-the-art programs, including IMRT, VMAT, SRS/SBRT, IGRT, brachytherapy and QA. The faculty  member will also be expected to actively participate in the research and teaching programs. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in physics or a closely related discipline, certification by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics, at least 7 years of medical physics experience in a healthcare environment,  demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at University of Kansas Medical Center, and a commitment to clinical research.
