Position Description: We are seeking a clinically excellent medical physicist to join our team for a full-time position located in UPMC Western Maryland Cancer Center, Cumberland, MD. Primary responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to, overseeing the operations of all clinical Medical Physics services that are provided at UPMC Western Maryland; conduct all aspects of the Radiation Oncology physics services including regular quality assurance testing for equipment and treatment delivery and dosimetry calibration of radiation therapy equipment; compliance with radiation safety and licensing issues; providing clinical support; dosimetry and clinical implementation of intensity modulated radiation therapy/VMAT, and implementation of 4DCT and gated radiation therapy. The successful candidate should have demonstrated clinical skills in these areas and is expected to function independently with excellent oral and written communication skills. Facility and Equipment: This center is equipped with a Varian TrueBeam, Varian 21iX with on-board kV imaging, cone-beam CT, respiratory gating, EPID, and RapidArc capabilities, Gamma med HDR brachytherapy systems, CT simulator, and a full suite of quality assurance equipment, and utilizes ARiA and Eclipse for documentation and treatment planning.
