Position Description: AMP is seeking a clinical medical physicist for the Department of Radiation Oncology at the John R. Marsh Cancer Center at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. This physicist will join 1 additional clinical medical physicist and 2 dosimetrists. The physicist will play a significant role in management and performance of clinical physics duties. Facility and Equipment: The physics and dosimetrist team provide medical physics services at the John R. Marsh Cancer Center at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. The department has two vaults, one of which is equipped with a new Truebeam unit. The second vault is currently equipped with a Trilogy linear accelerator, which is scheduled to be replaced in the near future with a second Truebeam unit. Additional technology includes VisionRT optical image-guidance, a Varian HDR unit, and a new Go Open Pro Siemens CT simulator with 4DCT capability. Treatment modalities include 3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, and HDR. The RT planning system is Eclipse. The department’s R&V system is Aria.
