Staff Medical Physicist Lexington Clinic, a large multi-specialty group practice, is seeking a Clinical Medical Physicist to join a busy ACR accredited Radiation Oncology Department. Through collaboration with the University of Kentucky, the existing Markey Cancer Center at Lexington Clinic Richmond will be relocating to a new center to open in June of 2021. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of cancer care in the Richmond, Kentucky region. The successful candidate will join a group of 2 physicians, 2 physicists and 2 dosimetrists to treat patients at our main center in Lexington, KY and our satellite in Richmond, KY. The position will provide all aspects of routine clinical physics support, including treatment planning verification and all quality assurance activities related to 3D, IMRT and SBRT treatment, as well as expertise in evaluation of new equipment and modalities. Current equipment consists of 2 Artiste linear accelerators, a large-bore Philips Brilliance 4D-CT, a GE Lightspeed CT, Monaco treatment planning system and Mosaiq R&V. QA equipment include SunNuclear Mapcheck, Profiler and Daily QA3, and Standard Imaging PipsPro and QA Pilot. - CAMPEP accredited residency training preferred
- Board certification from the American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics
- SBRT experience, Linac and TPS commissioning experience, and Tomotherapy experience are highly desirable
