Qualifications: Ph.D. Degree in Medical Physics or related fields. Board certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American College or Medical Physics. Strong interest and commitment to stereotactic radiotherapy, research and education. Strong oral and written communication skills with the multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CyberKnife and Stereotactic radiotherapy technologies preferred but not required. Facility and Equipment: Johns Hopkins Medicine is committed to a tripartite mission of Patient Care, Education and Research. The department provides full radiation treatment services at 5 campuses in the Baltimore and Washington areas. There are currently 12 Elekta medical accelerators across the system. The proton center has three rotating gantries for clinical use and one fixed beam room for research. Our Department provides a full range of clinical services at Johns Hopkins facilities, including IMRT, image-guidance, stereo-tactic radiosurgery (linac based and CyberKnife), as well as HDR and LDR brachytherapy. Treatment planning is currently performed on enterprise wide Philips Pinnacle system and Raystation treatment planning system. Elekta MOSAIQ OIS is the treatment management system and is also an enterprise wide implementation sharing a common database. This position will be located at the Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) on the main East Baltimore campus with convenient access to the wealth of cultural and historical experience and opportunities of the mid-Atlantic and east coast regions of the country.
