The Cancer TEAM at Bellin Health has a full-time (1.0 FTE) opening for a radiation oncology medical physicist to support its radiation oncology services in Green Bay, WI. We are seeking a highly motivated medical physicist to support our clinical operations and to maintain compliance with accreditation standards and the AAPM’s professional guidelines for patient safety and quality assurance.
Applicants should have experience with Varian accelerators, ARIA record and verify information system, (Elekta) Nucletron HDR, Oncentra HDR planning, and Varian Eclipse treatment planning. Additional experience with AlignRT and Cone based SRS systems is highly desirable.
The applicant will join one other physicist who primarily provides coverage at two affiliated clinics in northern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Applicants must be board certified by the ABR or ABMP in radiation oncology physics and meet the criteria to serve as a brachytherapy authorized medical physicist. Applicants must be able to work independently, with only general supervision, be competent in all clinical skills necessary to support our radiation oncology operations, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Current equipment includes; 1 Varian TrueBeam, 1 Varian iX Trilogy, G.E. LightSpeed 16 slice CT Simulator, Varian Eclipse treatment planning, ARIA v15 record and verify information system, Nucletron microSelectron HDR unit with Oncentra treatment planning system, Varian Cone planning SRS treatment planning system, and Velocity image fusion application.
