The Department of Radiation Oncology at Northwestern Medicine (NM) is seeking a highly qualified, academically oriented, and independent candidate for a postdoctoral fellow position. This position will focus on clinical data mining from our radiation oncology treatment that correlates with outcomes in various disease sites. A clear understanding of dose-volume histogram as a subset is essential. The candidate should demonstrate good written and communication skills along with interdisciplinary interaction among various sections (Dosimetry, Medical Physics, Nursing, Biology and Physician) in the Radiation Oncology Department which is an integral part of Robert H Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center (RHLCCC) of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in downtown Chicago. Currently NMH and RHLCCC are ranked number 10th place in the USA according to the US World News Report.
PhD in Physics, Medical physics, Computer science, Biomedical engineering, applied mathematics or statistics or related disciplines.
Strong programming skill is essential including programming in Matlab/Python/C/C++ and dose computation.
Knowledge in machine/deep learning and high-performance computing.
Demonstrated ability to carry out independent and collaborative research in computational science applied to radiation oncology.
Experience in clinical research, especially the outcomes data analysis.
Experience in Statistical analysis in managing clinical data.
Publications in peer-reviewed journals and record of presenting at nationally recognized conferences.
CAMPEP graduates could be given preference.
