The Diagnostic Imaging Physicists apply their knowledge of imaging science and medicine, with appropriate analytical techniques, to collect information and create reports to document the quality and safety of diagnostic imaging equipment. They may also provide professional consultation about safe use and regulatory requirements for MRI safety, radiation safety, occupational dosimetry, and radioactive materials. They consult with a wide range of medical, technical, and administrative staff.
The Diagnostic Imaging Physicist must have equivalent qualifications, competence and function, in the same role as employed individuals performing the same or similar services at the facility, as defined by a facility job description. They use a variety of specialized instrumentation and an understanding of clinical operations, to conduct periodic quality assurance (QA) surveys on diagnostic imaging equipment and some radiation therapy equipment (no patients)

About Landauer Medical Physics
"Landauer Medical Physics" (LMP) is the largest Comprehensive Physics Practice Group in the country, and we are growing!
Comprehensive meaning we cover all aspects of Medical Physics including Long Term Clinical Therapy, Imaging, Health Physics, Dosimetry, Shielding, Commissioning and special projects throughout our industry. Thanks to our relationships with sister companies Fluke and Tektronix, we also have the ability to participate in research projects directly affecting products used in our industry today.
Practice Group meaning we currently have over 150 Physicists and Dosimetrists in our LMP family. That equates to an incredibly diverse and deep pool of knowledge and resources available to all our teammates in a collegial environment, where partnership and fresh ideas are nurtured and encouraged every day!
We also proudly offer a CAMPEP approved residency program, helping new physicists gain experience and knowledge at three state of the art cancer centers across the country!
When you put this all together, you have Landauer Medical Physics, and we can't wait to meet you!
