Seeking a medical physicist with strong clinical and communication skills to join a patient-centered, team oriented and dynamic department. Provides oversight for the clinical services including: IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT and working collaboratively to start a SRS program. All Varian department with a new TrueBeam; also an iX-both with imaging capabilities (KV/CBCT), Aria 15.6, Eclipse 15.6, MIM and a GE CT simulator.
Performs the daily duties of a clinical medical physicist. Assures the accurate delivery of treatment plans; completes all required quality checks in accordance with all applicable federal and state radiation regulations and accreditation standards.
Assists radiation oncologist with treatment planning and assures accuracy of treatment delivery while working with dosimetrist and therapists.
Maintains responsibility for the design and implementation of the quality management program that involves the use of department equipment.
Calibration of treatment machines and simulation equipment to maintain compliance with national standards.
Board Certified in Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology and/or the American Board of Medical Physics.
