Job Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Physicist, the person in this position effectively contributes to departmental operations through participation in clinical activities, performance of quality assurance procedures, calibration of radiation therapy treatment equipment, implementation of new technologies, and development of new procedures.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Physics with emphasis in Medical Physics or advanced knowledge necessary to apply radiation therapy physics principles. Eligibility for certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology.
Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to coordinate radiation treatment and treatment planning activities among physicians and technical staff.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Medical Physics.
Licensure and Certifications: Ability to flex work schedule outside of normal business hours to meet the needs of clients.
