KARMANOS/MCLAREN FLINT has an outstanding opportunity for Clinical Proton Therapy Physicists who are looking to take their career to the next level. Karmanos has partnered with McLaren to provide the best cancer care possible in the state of Michigan. We are one of the few entities that offer proton therapy treatment and a suite of conventional therapy treatment at three different sites. We are looking to recruit One highly motivated full-time Clinical Proton Therapy Physicists to join our team. McLaren Proton Therapy Center (MPTC) is equipped with a synchrotron accelerator with energy ranging from 70 to 330 MeV. MPTC will have three treatment rooms that are equipped with half gantries, robotic couch, and CBCT for patient alignment. In addition, the cancer center is equipped with a Phillips CT, Eclipse treatment planning, and Varian Aria R&V. We are in the process of commissioning the second treatment room. Requirements include an MS (Ph.D. preferred) in Medical Physics or Physics and certification from the ABR or in the process of obtaining certification.
