REPONSIBILITIES: The Medical Physicist Radiation Oncology is part of a physics program team that provides physics support primarily at the Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center. Our Marshfield Clinic Minocqua campus has a Truebeam 2.7 with advanced imaging and OSMS, ADAC Pinnacle treatment planning system, Philips Big Bore CT simulator, and ARIA information system. Currently, the facility treats over 25 patients a day with state-of-the-art 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT and SBRT treatment options.
The Marshfield Clinic main campus in Marshfield has a Truebeam 2.5 with advanced imaging and VisionRT surface monitoring, a Varian 23EX with PV & OBI, Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion, an active HDR program using Elekta Oncentra/Nucletron, COMS LDR eye plaque. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be trained in HDR/Gamma Knife under experienced physicists. The successful candidate is expected to work in cooperation with the Radiation Oncologist, onsite Radiation Oncology Manager, radiation therapists, and dosimetrists to assure accurate and coordinated delivery of all aspects of treatment prescriptions.

Master of Science or Doctoral Degree in Medical Physics or related discipline
Must meet qualified expert criteria defined by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or state radiation agency
At least two years of clinical experience in radiation therapy department under the preceptorship of a physicist certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapy Physics or Radiological Physics
Experience must include calibration of linear accelerators and other radiation sources, clinical dosimetry of external beams and implant sources, patient setup, and computer treatment planning
Must be certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Therapy Physics or Radiological Physics or will obtain certification within five years after employment begins
The position title and pay range of this position will depend upon the person's education and whether they board certified or not.
