Ascension Health is excited to announce an exciting opportunity for a full time Medical Physicist to join our team of 3 full time and a one per-diem (part time) medical physicists, and 4 dosimetrists. Our program has 4 centers. This position is for the primary site physicist for our Macomb Hospital Webber Cancer Center Radiation Oncology in Warren Mi.
The physics and dosimetry team provide services to 4 centers. Two of the sites are equipped with both a True Beam and Elekta accelerator. The other two sites each have a single Varian iX. All of the sites have OBI and deliver 3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, SRS, and SBRT. Three of the sites are actively involved in HDR treatments utilizing Elekta’s Oncentra brachytherapy system. We also are actively involved in LDR prostate seed implants at one of our centers using VariSeed. Additional technology includes MOSAIQ R&V, Eclipse treatment planning v15.6, MIM, Advantage Sim, HD-120 MLC, RadCalc, and GE Lightspeed CT, 4DCT, and Hyperthermia. Physics equipment includes ArcCheck, DailyQA3, SNC Dosimetry 1-D Scanner, SNC IC Profiler and a host of other dosimetry measuring equipment.
