Medical Physicist-Radiation Oncology Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford, CT
Join a dynamic team consisting of three medical physicists and three dosimetrists providing clinical physics services to the ACR accredited Radiation Oncology Department at the Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center situated in Hartford, Connecticut. We are one of the most progressive and beautiful outpatient treatment facilities in New England. Our Radiation Oncology department is staffed by four radiation oncologists, an administrative director, a chief radiation therapist and 11 staff radiation therapists. Our state-of-the-art-technology and programs include a Varian Acuity Simulator, Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT simulator, two Varian Clinac iX linear accelerators with MLC’s, OBI, and ASi Portal Imagers, MOSAIQ record and verify system, RayStation & Pinnacle TPS, Elekta HDR unit with Oncentra TPS, active prostate permanent implant brachytherapy program, as well as an extensive Cyberknife SRS/SBRT program. The Enfield satellite facility is equipped with Elekta Infinity linear accelerator with Agility MLC, XVI, and iViewGT portal imager, and Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT simulator.
Ph.D. or Masters prepared candidates are encouraged to apply. Three or more years of relevant clinical experience and ABR or equivalent certification are desirable but consideration would be given to recent graduates from a CAMPEP approved residency programs in Therapeutic Radiological Physics. Prior experience with Elekta linear accelerators is a plus. Excellent English oral and written communication skills are essential.
