The Division of Medical Physics is seeking a Medical Physicist to join the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.
The primary focus of the position is to further the clinical mission of the department by supporting the Mayo Clinic Florida Radiology Department through innovative clinical, research, and education programs. The Radiology department includes 50 radiologists, 3 staff medical physicists and 5 medical physicist assistants. This position will provide direct support and direction for projects driven by Radiology, including specification of software and hardware for new equipment, development of advanced clinical applications and procedures, and study design, integration and performance optimization of clinical and research protocols.
Join a practice that has ample opportunities for strong collaborations with scientists and clinicians from the other Mayo Campuses (Rochester and Arizona). The successful applicant will be expected to contribute primarily to all aspects of MRI and innovative clinical practice, with the ability to cover for all areas of diagnostic imaging physics when needed. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in Medical Physics (or equivalent) and be board-eligible or board-certified with ABR.
