Tacoma/Valley Radiation Oncology Center, a free-standing Radiation Oncology facility, is seeking a qualified Junior Radiation Therapy Physicist.
ABR board certified or eligible for certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
Successful completion of CAMPEP Program, including residency.
Masters or PhD.
Experience with Oncentra treatment planning beneficial.
Commitment to meticulous communication and collaboration to provide exceptional patient care.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for:
Supporting the Physics Department
All aspects of quality assurance
Supervision of treatment planning
IMRT QA and Machine QA
Meticulous communication skills verbally and in writing
Facility & Equipment: Tacoma/Valley Radiation Oncology Center consists of four leading edge, free-standing centers. We offer professional physics and dosimetry services to a contracted site. We currently offer IGRT, IMRT, SBRT, HDR, Gamma Knife and SRS. Each center treats approx. 25-40 patients per day. Equipment includes; one Varian TrueBeam, two Varian iX linear accelerators with OBI, one Varian 21-EX with OBI, and an Elekta Synergy. Sims are carried out on GE, Phillps and Toshiba CT scanners. We utilize Pinnacle Treatment Planning System, Oncentra Brachytherapy for HDR, Mosaiq R&V. We have recently implemented ArcCheck & MapCheck. The successful candidate is expected to work toward being ABR board certified.
