We have an opportunity for a Medical Physicist to join our amazing team in the HSHS St. Vincent Hospital Cancer Centers. The candidate will provide all functions relative to medical physics in a Radiation Oncology setting. Professional duties may include, but are not limited to:
Calibration, commissioning, and/or quality assurance measurements on the linear accelerators and radioactive sources
Routine quality assurance procedures on a variety of equipment which may include, linear accelerators, CT simulators, radioactive sources (HDR/LDR), treatment planning system, other support systems
Verify dosimetry calculations performed by therapists and dosimetrists
Develop patient treatment plans for patients of all ages
Supports all special procedures: IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, HDR, LDR, 4DCT
Supports adherence to all regulatory bodies and accreditation agencies
Responsible for implementation of new technologies and processes
Responsible for all aspects of radiation safety
Provides services to patients and families of all age groups, neonate through geriatricThe position is part of a team of four physicists, three dosimetrists, and four physicians who support a main campus and satellite facilities including HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay, WI, Door County Cancer Center in Sturgeon Bay, WI and HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, WI.The four cancer centers treat a wide variety of cancers through many treatment modalities; SRS, SBRT, HDR, LDR, 4DCT, and DIBH. Our facilities use Varian accelerators (Trilogy and TrueBeam), GE and Phillips CT simulators, Varisource HDR, ARIA record and verify system, Varian Eclipse treatment planning, Variseed planning for low dose brachytherapy prostate implant, RPM and OSMS breath hold platforms, and a numerous array of radiation therapy QA devices.Ph.D. in Medical Physics preferred. Master’s Degree in Physics or Medical Physics required.5+ years of experience in a dynamic clinical environment preferred. CAMPEP accredited residency preferred.
