We are looking for a highly-motivated and knowledgeable MRI Software Engineer to join our growing team at ViewRay The successful candidate is passionate about improving the treatment paradigm for patients with cancer, has medical imaging expertise, and driven to develop user-centric MR Imaging applications that will advance how radiotherapy is delivered.
This individual will join a cross-functional team of MRI Scientists, Software Engineers, and Clinical Engineers and will have direct impact on how the patients of the future receive adaptive radiotherapy.

Partner with product management, software engineering, and MRI Applications to design and implement new features to enhance the clinical workflow
Drive design and implementation of robust communication software between the MRI and Radiation Therapy subsystems by collaborating closely with Software Engineering and MRI Applications.
Develop software system requirements and test documentation, as well as execute unit testing.? Author use cases, software design documents, and test specifications.
Participate in peer design and code reviews
Partner with Quality,Clinical Applications Team to investigate software defects and customer inquiries in order to drive real-world workflow value.
Providetechnical support to external design and manufacturing partners
Education, Experience, Skills
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field of study
Expertise in Magnetic Resonance Imaging techniques, DICOM, and image post-processing
Proficiency with C/C++ programming and multi-threaded applications
Proficiency with Web Socket Communication, HTTPS communication, REST/JSON API Interface development
Proficiency with version control and Linux system
Knowledge of formal software lifecycle processes necessary for software development in an FDA-regulated medical device development environment
Experience developing responsive applications that work across multiple complex electro-mechanical devices
Proficiency with developing .NET Windows applications with demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented programming and UML modeling for design
Domain knowledge of clinical applications of medical imaging
Creative, flexible, and collaborative in approach to technical problem solving
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, at a variety of technical levels
Ability to work effectively as part of the diverse team including physicists, scientists, and engineers in a fast-paced environment and with multiple projects
