Physicist, Radiation Oncology
This leader has accountability, oversight, and supervises the daily activities of the department, shift or area, and is responsible for providing direction and patient care management of Medical Physics operations including both routine and special radiotherapy treatment procedures, software and equipment maintenance and educational and research activities. The leader provides technical expertise regarding the physics of radiation-producing equipment, performance testing, commissioning and radiation safety and protection. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring individual and teamwork tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals.
Require five (5) years of radiation oncology clinical experience, including three (3) years in a supervisory role.
Require a Master's degree in Medical Physics, Physics or related field.
Require American Board of Radiology certification in Radiological Physics or Therapeutic Radiology Physics.
Require Board eligible by the American Board of Radiology.
Require active/current Medical Physicist licensure by the State of Florida.
Require experience with Varian Medical Systems software and equipment, specifically Eclipse.
