21st Century Oncology has an immediate job opening for a board certified therapeutic medical physicist to join our Michigan team. The successful candidate will join a team of medical physicists to provide coverage for seven centers in the greater Detroit region. Candidate must be able to travel, provide flexible coverage and work well in a team.
Michigan region is equipped with Varian, Elekta, Tomotherapy and Siemens treatment machines in MosaiQ environment. New Varian TrueBeam with stereotactic package is being installed. Each center has 4D capable GE CTs. 3 centers provide brachytherapy services, including LDR, HDR and real time prostate HDR procedures. We also provide Xofigo® and Lutathera® treatments. Eclipse, Tomoplan with VOLO, Oncentra Brachy and Oncentra Prostate are the treatment planning systems in use.
This position provides an opportunity for an energetic and motivated physicist to work alongside a current team of medical physicists, dosimetrists and radiation oncologists who are actively involved in the national protocol studies as well as in the Michigan Radiation Oncology Quality Consortium (MROQC).
M.S., DMP, or PhD in medical physics or closely related equivalent
Board Certified by the ABR or an equivalent in therapy physics
On a current NRC license or AMP eligible
Excellent verbal and written skills
Ability to work as part of an integrated team
