Novant Health is looking for an energetic, experienced, Board-Certified Medical Physicist to join the team in the Radiation Oncology Department at their Forsyth Medical Center location in Winston Salem, NC. Applicants should have an MS or PhD degree in Medical Physics or a closely related field and be Board Certified by the ABR. The successful candidate will join a team of 4 Clinical Physicists, a Physicist Assistant, 6 Dosimetrists and a Chief Physicist responsible for 5 linear accelerators at 2 locations. Treatment modalities include IMRT, VMAT, Conformal Arc Therapy, SBRT, SRS and a busy HDR program.
Winston Salem is a beautiful city located in Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina with a population of about 250,000. It is close to the mountains, a number of lakes and hiking trails, and the coast is just a few hours away. There are many sporting, cultural and other events available through the numerous colleges and universities in the area. Professional football (Carolina Panthers), basketball (Charlotte Hornets) and hockey (Carolina Hurricanes) are played in Charlotte and Raleigh, each less than 2 hours away.
