Facility and Equipment
RadAmerica II, LLC operates 6 centers in the Baltimore area, and one center in the Washington, DC area. Six of the sites are using Varian accelerators and one site has an Elekta unit. This position is part of an integrated team of two physicists, a Cyberknife director and dosimetry team supporting one CyberKnife unit. This department has a Varian TrueBeam and 21 iX linear accelerators, one CyberKnife, Mosaiq R&V, Eclipse RTPS and a Siemens CT-Simulator configured for 4DCT using Varian’s RPM.
Opening for a senior medical physicist to join a vibrant department consisting of 12 physicists and 8 dosimetrists. Five years or more clinical expertise in SRS and Cyberknife planning and equal or greater experience in clinical physics is preferred. The candidate will be versed in SBRT, SRS, IMRT, IGRT and brachytherapy. IORT experience is also valuable to this position. Excellent communication skills, strong leadership attributes and a well – developed knowledge of clinical medical physics are desirable. American Board of Radiology Certification in therapeutic physics is required.
