The Brian Lara Cancer Treatment Centre, an established centre, is seeking a dynamic and innovative medical physicist who will work in collaboration with the program team to ensure we continue to bring state of the art Radiation Oncology services to Trinidad and Tobago.You are an experienced clinician who demonstrates passion and innovation for advancing Medical Physics. Applications are invited for the position of senior medical physicist at The Brian Lara Cancer Treatment Centre of Trinidad & Tobago.
As the senior medical physicist at the centre, you will have responsibility for the quality and safety of radiation treatment delivery.The successful candidate will be responsible for all technical, and professional, aspects of the medical physics program, and will work in close collaboration with radiation therapy and radiation oncology.Given the patient volume, while there is an on site dosimetrist, you will also work directly in the creation of treatment plans.As radiation safety officer, you will ensure the program meets or exceed accepted international radiation safety standards.The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively in a multi-professional care team working to ensure treatment techniques are state of the art.

MSc or Phd in Medical Radiation Physics (preferably CAMPEP Accredited).is required with a minimum of 8 years of clinical experience
CCPM (Canada), ABR (USA), or MIPEM (UK) Fellowship or equivalent
Experience in treatment planning including IMRT and brachytherapy planning
Experience with advanced IGRT
Experience in a leadership role would be an asset
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to facilitate teamwork, collaboration and partnerships
Track record of successful program development
The Cancer Centre is equipped with a Clinac 21iX, GammaMed Plus HDR unit, working in an ARIA /Eclipse environment.GE Lightspeed RT is used for simulation.This is a busy centre treating 40 to 50 patients per day..
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
