MedStar RadAmerica II, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of MedStar Health which includes ten hospitals and other healthcare entities.

The Physicist maintains departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures, quality, and standards, and complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
Assist in brachytherapy treatments
Attend and actively participate in journal club, chart rounds, quality assurance meetings, morbidity rounds, and technical meetings, and in addition attend at least one scientific meeting annually
Contribute to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adhere to department policies, procedures, quality, and safety standards
Comply with governmental and accreditation regulations
Make sure all charts are checked on a weekly basis and are in good order
Ensure that calibrations are performed at appropriate intervals for each machine and other equipment
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Physics, Health Physics or Engineering plus one year of specialty training in a postgraduate program for Medical Physics
American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) certification
Six months of clinical radiation therapy physicist experience
Basic computer skills preferred
