Medical Physics: Radiation Oncology, Medical Physics: Radiation Oncology Dosimetry

Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC has an immediate opportunity for a Full-time Medical Radiation Physicist. The candidate will join a team of two other physicists and four dosimetrists. Our radiation oncology department has equipment including two TrueBeam and one 23EX, GE big bore CT simulator, Eclipse with BrachyVision, Portal Dosimetry, MapCheck II, Profiler, Daily QA 3, VisionRT, RPM, Velocity, VariSource HDR, VariSeed, ARIA EMR, and various dosimetry and physics instruments.
Treatments cover 3D, IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, HDR, Seed, I-131, Xiofigo. The candidate must have master's degree or higher in medical physics or related field, with relevant clinical experience or recent completion of training in medical physics, board certified or eligible in therapeutic medical physics.
Equipment includes: 2 State of the art Varian Linear Accelerators with Respiratory Gating, OBI and CBCT capabilities; Varian's Eclipse treatment planning system using 3D, IMRT, and portal Dosimetry; Varian's EMR (Aria)
Assists Lead Physicist in performing linear accelerator, simulator and superficial calibrations, as well as mechanical and safety quality assurance. Responsibilities may include verification of data input, review of treatment plans, calculations, and IMRT QA
Provides assistance to the Radiation Oncologists for Radiation Medicine patients as needed
Performs HDRs (including Mammosite therapies) with Nucletron planning and treatment device and introperative Prostate implants utilizing Varian's Variseed and Core Oncology's Isoloader
Master's Degree or higher in Medical Physics or related field
Relevant clinical experience or recent completion of training in Medical Physics
Board certified or eligible in Medical Physics
