Trinity Health Of New England (THONE), the five-hospital Regional Health Ministry of one of the largest, multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the nation, Trinity Health, has two career opportunities for experienced Medical Physicists to work at their St. Francis Care Hartford, CT campus's Radiation Oncology Department, and their satellite facility in Enfield, CT.
As one of the most progressive and beautiful outpatient treatment facilities in New England, THONE's Radiation Oncology Department features state-of-the-art-technology and programs that include two Varian Clinac iX linear accelerators with MLC’s, OBI, and ASi Portal Imagers, MOSAIQ record and verify system, RayStation & Pinnacle TPS, Elekta HDR unit with Oncentra TPS, active prostate permanent implant brachytherapy program, as well as an extensive Cyberknife SRS/SBRT program.
The Department is in the process of implementing the Vision RT patient’s 3D surface tracking system on both Varian accelerators. The treatment units are complemented with Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT simulator and Varian Acuity Simulator. The Enfield satellite facility is equipped with Elekta Infinity linear accelerator with Agility MLC, XVI, and iViewGT portal imager, and Philips Brilliance Big Bore CT simulator.
Requirements include a Ph.D. or Master's degree coupled with three+ years of relevant clinical experience and ABR or equivalent certification, which is desirable.
Recent graduates from a CAMPEP approved residency programs in Therapeutic Radiological Physics can be considered for one of the positions.
Prior experience with Elekta linear accelerators is a plus, and excellent communication skills - both oral and written - are essential.
Additional Salary Information: Annual salary range is commensurate with length of experience.
