Medical Physics: Diagnostic Imaging, Medical Physics: Nuclear Medicine
Therapy Physics, Inc. is seeking a board certified or board eligible diagnostic medical physicist to join our thriving consulting group in the Los Angeles/Orange County California area. Responsibilities include compliance testing of radiographic, fluoroscopic, ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography equipment; diagnostic and nuclear medicine shielding design and radiation safety evaluations; and radiation safety training. Candidates must be familiar with ACR, MQSA, and Joint Commission testing procedures for all applicable modalities and meet the requisite personnel requirements. Additionally, the person must be RSO eligible and comfortable with Radioactive Materials issues that arise in community hospitals.
Therapy Physics provides outstanding medical and dental coverage, generous vacation time, 401k and profit sharing, and opportunities for professional growth. Overnight travel is limited and after-hours work is very rare. This is a unique opportunity to work in a consulting environment without the typical consultant hours while having the ability to be at home most nights.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to independently manage your responsibilities and work independently.
In person interviews may take place at the AAPM Annual meeting in Nashville this year. Please contact Tyler Fisher at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a meeting.
